Terms of Use
1. Who we are
Levantics LLC is a company registered in Michigan, United States, at 2222 W Grand River Ave, STE A, Okemos, MI 48864. In these terms, "Levantics", "we" and "us" mean Levantics LLC.
Levantics makes a software platform for life insurance agencies and their agents. Levantics is a software company. It is not an insurance agency, it does not sell insurance, and it does not give insurance, legal or financial advice.
2. What these terms cover
These terms cover two things:
- your use of this website, levantics.io, and
- connecting a Google account through the app named Levantics, which is the app Google shows you when you connect Google Calendar or Gmail from inside the platform.
By using this website or connecting a Google account through the Levantics app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not connect a Google account, and do not use the website.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the website or the app.
3. Cornerstone Account and the product terms
Agencies use the Levantics platform under their own name. Cornerstone Account, at www.cornerstoneaccount.com, is the Levantics platform under the Cornerstone name.
Your use of the product is governed by the Cornerstone Account Terms. These terms add to them for the two things listed in section 2. They do not replace them. If these terms and the Cornerstone Account Terms conflict about your use of the product, the Cornerstone Account Terms control.
How we handle information from your Google account is described in the Levantics Privacy Policy. On that subject, the Levantics Privacy Policy controls.
4. Connecting your Google account
It is optional. You do not have to connect a Google account. Calendar and Gmail are separate connections, and you choose each one.
What you authorize. When you approve Google's permission screen, you authorize the Levantics app to do what that screen and the Levantics Privacy Policy describe, and nothing more:
- For Google Calendar: to read the list of your calendars, to read events on the calendar you choose so that the platform knows when you are busy, and to create, update and delete the appointments you make in the platform on that calendar.
- For Gmail: to send email from your Gmail address when you send it from the platform, or when a feature you turned on sends it for you. The app cannot read your mailbox.
It is revocable. You can disconnect at any time in the platform's Settings, or remove the app's access in your Google account. The Privacy Policy explains what is deleted when you disconnect, what is kept, and how to ask for deletion.
Your responsibilities. You agree that:
- you will connect only a Google account that is yours, or that you are authorized to use this way;
- if the account belongs to an employer or other organization, you have its permission to connect it;
- you understand that calendar information from the connected account is visible to other people in your agency, as the Privacy Policy describes, and you will use a work-only calendar, or turn on private mode from the moment you connect, if you do not want personal event titles shown; and
- you will keep your platform login secure, because anyone who can act as you in the platform can use your connection.
Google's terms. Your Google account is provided by Google under Google's own terms and policies, which continue to apply to you. Google may limit, suspend or change its services or your account, including sending limits, and we do not control that. Levantics is not affiliated with Google. Google Calendar and Gmail are trademarks of Google LLC.
5. You are the sender
Email sent through a connected Gmail account is sent by you, from your own mailbox, in your own name. It shows you as the sender. Levantics provides the tool. Levantics is not the sender of that email. You decide what is sent and who receives it, either by sending a message yourself or by turning on a feature that sends it for you. Some messages, such as the connection test and appointment confirmations, use wording the platform supplies. You are responsible for reviewing that wording before you use the feature.
You, and the agency you work with, are responsible for every message sent through your connection and every event created on your calendar. That includes:
- what the message or event says, and that it is accurate;
- who it goes to, and that you have whatever consent the law requires to contact them;
- honoring requests to stop receiving email; and
- following the laws and rules that apply to your messages, such as laws on commercial email (in the United States, the CAN-SPAM Act), insurance advertising and licensing rules, and the requirements of the insurance carriers you represent.
Levantics does not review messages before they are sent and is not responsible for their content or their consequences.
6. Levantics is not a party to your insurance business
Levantics does not sell, solicit or negotiate insurance. It is not an insurance agency, broker or carrier, and it is not licensed as one.
Levantics is not a party to the relationship between an agent and a client, between an agent and an agency, or between an agent and a carrier. Any policy, application, quote, advice or promise is between those people. Levantics carries no liability for the acts or omissions of any agency or agent who uses the platform.
7. Acceptable use
When you use a Google connection through the Levantics app, you will not:
- send spam or unsolicited commercial email, or send bulk commercial email to people who have not consented to receive it;
- send anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing or infringing;
- misstate who you are, or send from an address you are not authorized to use;
- try to get around Google's sending limits or security measures; or
- use the connection in a way that breaks Google's terms or policies for your account.
On this website, you will not interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or copy it to pass yourself off as Levantics.
We may suspend or end a Google connection that we reasonably believe is being used in breach of this section or in a way that puts other users, recipients or the platform at risk.
8. This website
The content of this website belongs to Levantics LLC. You may read it and link to it. The website is general information about the platform. It is not an offer of insurance and it is not advice.
9. Disclaimers
The website and the Google connections are provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Levantics disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not promise that a Google connection will be uninterrupted or error free, that every calendar change will sync, or that every email will be accepted or delivered by Google or by the recipient's mail provider. Check anything that matters.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Levantics and its owners, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, arising from the website or a Google connection.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any cause, and whatever the form of the action, is limited to the lesser of the amount you paid us, if any, or $1,000.00 USD.
Some laws do not allow certain limits. Where they apply to you, these limits apply only as far as the law permits.
The indemnification section of the Cornerstone Account Terms applies to claims that arise from email you send or events you create through a Google connection.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Disputes under these terms are resolved the same way as disputes under the Cornerstone Account Terms: informal negotiation first, then binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association in King County, Washington, on an individual basis and not as a class action. The dispute resolution section of the Cornerstone Account Terms sets out the details and the exceptions, and it applies to these terms as if it were written here.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. We will post the changed terms on this page and update the effective date. A change applies from the date it is posted. Changes to how we use information from your Google account follow the stricter rule in the Privacy Policy: we tell you and ask for your agreement first.
